Out-of-Pocket Clients:

First Acupuncture visit + initial consultation (90 minutes): $175‑225 sliding

Follow-up Acupuncture visits (60 minutes): $110‑135 sliding

Herbal consultation without acupuncture, follow-up: $85‑110 sliding

Our sliding scale is designed to make our services accessible for a variety of income levels.

Add-on services:

Stationary Cupping (10 minutes) $35‑45 sliding

Moving Cups (20 minutes, organic coconut oil) $50‑65 sliding

Payment:

Cash, checks, Venmo, PayPal, Health Savings Account cards, and all major credit cards are accepted. Receipts or Superbills can also be provided upon request.

Health Insurance:

We accept out-of-network insurance plans. However, acupuncture coverage varies depending on your individual plan, so please check with your health plan about your benefit package. We can also call for you and work with you to understand your benefits.

NOTE: Not all insurance plans cover acupuncture services.

Other Notes About Insurance

Rates for insurance billing are based on usual-and-customary rates for acupuncture procedure codes in the area. They are not the same as the out-of-pocket, fee-for-service rates listed above, which are discounted in order to make acupuncture an affordable part of your health maintenance program.

Insurance reimbursements vary by insurance company and by procedure code. Heavenly Stems Acupuncture offers full-service insurance billing. We will submit all the claims for you within 72 hours of the treatment session. Your insurance company will send an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) within a few weeks. You do not need to submit any paperwork yourself.

For Out-Of-Network plans, the reimbursement amount depends on the terms of your plan. We ask that the first visit be paid in full at time of service, to serve as a deposit. Then once the claim is processed, which usually takes 2-3 weeks, we will refund the appropriate amount based on the claim. Once deductible is met, you will only pay the coinsurance.

Med-Pay insurance for auto accidents is also accepted. Check your policy for coverage.
